Starting Over

Well sometimes you can’t always fix what is  broken. I just had a case of a MySQL database gone bad. One of the many pitfalls to managing your own server.   And it seems with all the backups I have in place, somehow the database was the one thing on my website that was not backed up.  With my background I should have know better, but we all learn from out mistakes and move on.

This is actually a refreshing thing.  As I start a new phase in my life, I get to start with a clean slate.  Was I angered by the total destruction of all I had written and the knowledge I had learned. That would be an understatement.  But upon reflection, it is a new start, a new adventure…  Exciting times are ahead.
